Instructions

  1. Adjust rack to top position and preheat oven to 425°F. Wash and dry produce. Cut potatoes into ½-inch-thick wedges. Toss on a baking sheet with a large drizzle of oil, half the fry seasoning, salt and pepper. Roast on top rack until browned and tender, 25-30 minutes.
  2. While potatoes roast, in a small bowl, combine ranch dressing, sour cream and garlic powder. Set aside until ready to serve.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine ground beef and remaining fry seasoning. Form into two patties, each slightly wider than a burger bun. Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add patties; cook until browned and cooked to desired doneness, 3-5 minutes per side. In the last 1-2 minutes of cooking, top each patty with Monterey Jack cheese; cover pan to melt cheese.
  4. While patties cook, halve and toast buns. Spread cut sides of buns with as much creamy ranch as you like, then fill with patties and crispy fried onions. Divide burgers between plates. Serve with potato wedges and any remaining creamy ranch on the side.

Recipe Tips

For extra crispy bacon, cook it in the pan before the patties and crumble on top.

If you don’t have fry seasoning, use a mix of paprika, garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne.
