Hot Honey

Ingredient Guide

Hot Honey Recipes

Hot honey is a pantry condiment made by infusing honey with chile peppers, bringing together floral sweetness and a gentle to bold kick of heat. It is especially useful in recipes that need a finishing drizzle, quick glaze, or sweet-spicy balance. Use hot honey on pizza, fried chicken, roasted carrots, cornbread, biscuits, cheese boards, and crispy Brussels sprouts. It also works well in marinades, salad dressings, barbecue sauces, and cocktails where a little sweetness and spice can brighten the dish. Because honey can burn quickly, hot honey is best added near the end of cooking or used as a finishing ingredient. For glazes, brush it on during the last few minutes so it becomes glossy without scorching.
