Yakisoba Noodles Recipes

Yakisoba noodles are springy, wheat-based Japanese-style noodles most often used in quick stir-fried dishes. They are typically sold fresh, steamed, or par-cooked, making them ideal for fast weeknight recipes with vegetables, protein, and a savory sauce.

Despite the name, yakisoba does not use buckwheat soba noodles. These noodles have a chewy texture that holds up well in a hot skillet or wok, especially when tossed with cabbage, carrots, onions, pork, chicken, shrimp, tofu, or mushrooms.

Use yakisoba noodles in classic Japanese yakisoba, noodle bowls, stir-fries, omelet fillings, or quick lunches made with leftover vegetables. Their mild flavor makes them a versatile base for soy sauce, Worcestershire-style sauces, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and chili.
