Tortilla Chips Recipes

Tortilla chips are a crisp pantry staple made for more than dipping. Their salty corn flavor and sturdy crunch make them a quick shortcut for nachos, taco salad, chilaquiles-style bakes, tortilla soup toppings, and layered party appetizers. Use thicker chips when a recipe needs structure, such as sheet-pan nachos or casseroles, and thinner chips for snacking, crushing, or garnishing. Crushed tortilla chips can also replace breadcrumbs in meatloaf, chicken tenders, veggie patties, and oven-baked toppings. For best results, add tortilla chips at the right moment: bake them with cheese for melty nachos, stir them briefly into saucy dishes so they soften without disappearing, or sprinkle them on just before serving for maximum crunch.
